Daniele Lo Re is Professor at the University of Granada and coordinator of the Medical Information Working Group of the Medical Association of the Spanish Pharmaceutical Industry. After completing his degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies at the University of Ferrara in 2004, he realized a PhD in Biomedicine in the University of Granada in 2008. Moreover, he was awarded with three Marie Curie Fellowship for its postdoctoral studies. In 2017 he obtained an MBA in Pharma & Biotech by ESAME Pharmaceutical School. His main research interests are the synthesis of biologically active compounds as potential new drugs. In its trajectory, Daniele Lo Re has prepared new compounds for the treatment of different diseases (diabetes, Alzheimer's, cancer) using different synthetic approaches. He has been the author/co-author of more than 20 publications in international journals and acted as speaker or poster presenter in more than 20 congresses.
