Saulo de Oliveira Folharini has been a Researcher at the Environmental and Coastal Studies Group since 2019 at the University of Campinas (Brazil) and was a PostDoc Researcher at the University of Minho (2022-2023, Portugal). He received his Master’s in Geography (2015) from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP/Brazil) with a visiting scholar fellowship at the University of Minho (Portugal) and his Ph.D. in Geography (2019) from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP/Brazil) with a visiting scholar fellowship at the University of Kansas (USA). He served as a Geography and Environmental Science Teacher at the Paula Souza State Center for Technological Education from 2020 to 2021 and as Professor of Physical Geography at the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso in 2021. His research topics include Soil Loss, Land Use and Land Cover (LULC), Ecosystem Services, Protected Areas, and Remote Sensing.
