Prof. Dr. Petar Antov currently is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Technology of Wood at the University of Forestry in Sofia, Bulgaria. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Technology of Wood at the University of Forestry in 2002, and his Ph.D. degree in Occupational Safety and Health at the University of Forestry in 2013. He served as a Head Assistant Professor at the International and Public Relations Coordinator from 2006 to 2015, and an Associate Professor at the University of Forestry from 2015 to 2022. He has been working at the University of Forestry in Sofia since 2012, where he has served as International and Public Relations Coordinator since 2012, as a Professor since 2022, and as a Vice Rector of Research, Digitalization, Innovations, and International since 2024. His main areas of scientific interest are Wood Technology, Sustainable Biocomposites, Occupational Safety and Health in the field of Woodworking and Furniture Industry, Safety Engineering, and Engineering Education. Current research project: "Development, Properties, and Application of Eco-Friendly Wood-Based Composites from Alternative Lignocellulosic Feedstocks".

Prof. Dr. Petar Antov currently is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Technology of Wood at the University of Forestry in Sofia, Bulgaria.
