Paula Ferreira is Associate Professor at the Department of Production and Systems, School of Engineering, University of Minho and Researcher at ALGORITMI Research Centre. She holds a PhD in Production Engineering and Systems (2008, University of Minho) MSc in Financial Management (2002, University of Porto) and Graduation in Chemical Engineering (1995, University of Porto). She is director of the Doctoral Program on Industrial Engineering and Systems since 2019. Her research interests are in the socio-economic impact assessment of industrial and energy systems, energy planning and project evaluation in line with the sustainable development goals. She has been coordinating national and international research projects on these topics, supported by FCT and the European Commission. She has been supervising or co-supervising 14 national and international PhD students (8 concluded and 6 ongoing) and more than 40MSc (concluded). She is the author of more than 80 papers published in international journals and book chapters (SCOPUS/WoS, most of them Q1) in a total of more than 140 publications. She is co-subject editor of Energy, Economy and Environment for the ENERGY Journal (Elsevier). She is a member of the Editorial Board of other international journals: The International Journal of Sustainable Energy Planning, AIMS Energy, AIMS Environmental Science and Smart Energy (Elsevier). She is Associate Editor of the journal Electricity (MDPI).
