Dr. Samidurai has extensive experience in the field of cardiovascular diseases including myocardial infarction, heart failure, diabetic cardiomyopathy and cardio-oncology. Dr. Samidurai earned his PhD from Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany and received post-doctoral training at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, USA. He is currently a faculty in School of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, Virginia Commonwealth University. The primary focus of his research is to understand the molecular signaling and epigenetic mechanisms involved in the regulation and expression of genes in clinically relevant experimental disease models.
