Full Professor of Hygiene and Public Health at the Interdisciplinary Department of Medicine of the University of Bari-Aldo Moro from 05/11/2021. Ph.D. in "Infectious Diseases". Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology and Public Health-Hygiene Unit, Polyclinic Hospital of Bari. Coordinator of the Degree Courses of the Health Professions (SNT04). Member of the Ph.D. teaching board: "PUBLIC HEALTH, CLINICAL MEDICINE AND ONCOLOGY" and, previously, "ANIMAL HEALTH AND ZOONOSES". Main research areas: epidemiology, public health, vaccination, surveillance and molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases, and emerging infectious diseases. Teaching in degree courses of the School of Medicine and of the Department of Pharmacy-Medicine Sciences and in Schools of Specialization in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine of the University of Bari and Community Medicine and Primary Care. Member of the scientific groups "Data and Surveillance" and "Feasibility of HIV/AIDS national platform" at Istituto Superiore di Sanità, and "Regional Commission for HIV/AIDS interventions". She is involved in several epidemiological and molecular surveillance activities at Osservatorio Epidemiologico Regionale (OER Puglia).
