Dr. Samir Haj Bloukh received his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Faisalabad, Faisalabad, Pakistan in 1977. He also received a Postgraduate Diploma in Bacteriology (Microbiology), University of Manchester, UK, in 1985, and his Ph.D. in Virology and Serology (Microbiology), University of Manchester, UK, in 1991. He received postdoctoral training at the Research Institute For Microbial Diseases, Osaka University, Japan from 1992-1993 in Advanced Microbial Diseases Study. He subsequently moved to the Sustainable Management Development Program of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and The Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, Atlanta, MI, where he received training in Management for International Public Health and additional training in Management in 1998. He has been working since 1999 at Ajman University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences as an Associate Professor and since 2022 Professor. He has published more than 50 papers, was co-supervisor of 5 research grants, and has received several scholarships.
