Dr. Steve Peigneur is a Postdoctoral researcher at the lab of Toxicology & Pharmacology at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Lab Techniques from the University Colleges Leuven-Limburg (UCLL). In 2019, he obtained his PhD in Biochemistry at the Federal University of Minas Gerias in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He has published over 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research in the field of drug discovery and development mainly focuses on the characterization of novel ligands for ion channels and receptors, starting from natural sources such as venomous animals and poisonous plants.
