Dr. Hani Alshahrani is an Associate
Professor and the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the Department of Computer
Science, College of Computer Science and Information Systems, Najran
University, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
from King Khaled University, Saudi Arabia in
2008, his Master’s degree in Computer Science from California Lutheran
University, USA in 2011, and his Ph.D.
in Computer Science and Informatics from Oakland University, USA in 2018. He worked as a Lecturer at Najran University
from 2012–2019, as an Assistant Professor from 2019 to 2023, and became an
Associate Professor in February 2023. Dr. Alshahrani’s research interests
include cybersecurity, privacy, IoT, collaborative deep learning, transfer learning, histopathology,
telemedicine security, COVID-19 patients treatment, model verification,
service-oriented architecture (SOA), and model-driven development (MDD). He is
also a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the IEEE
Computer Society, the Golden Key International Honour Society, and the American
Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES).
