Prof. Dr. Sven H. Loosen is a Senior physician at the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Infectiology, University Hospital Düsseldorf. He obtained a Master of Health Business Administration (MHBA) from Friedrich-Alexander-University of Nuremberg/Erlangen, and a Doctorate from the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology, University Hospital RWTH. His research interests include GI-Oncology, Hepatology and liver transplantation, Hepatobiliary tumors, and Translational research/biomarker. He was awarded a Nikolaus-Müller-Lantzsch Prize of the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS), the Teaching Prize of the RWTH Aachen University Hospital "PAULA" in the Category "Bester Dozent/Bestes Bedside Teaching", the Certificate "Medical didactics" of the Landesakademie für Medizinische Ausbildung (LAMA) in North Rhine-Westphalia, and the Scholarship of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.
