M.P.F. Graça graduated in Physics Engineering and received a Master’s in Science and Materials Engineering and Ph.D. in Physics in cooperation between the University of Aveiro (UAveiro) and the Federal University of Ceará in Brazil. After his PhD, he was director of the Energy Department of Prirev Surface Technology S.A. and as a principal researcher at UAveiro and i3N. Since 2020 he has been professor at the Physics Department of UAveiro and was invited to be professor of the postgraduate master course of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in Brasil. At Aveiro
University he is an associate professor with habilitation. He specializes in experimental techniques in the area of solid-state physics, with a major focus on materials’ electrical and magnetic properties and micro and nanomaterials processing. He has been a member of the Associated Laboratory Institute of
Nanostructures, Nano Modelling, and Nanofabrication (i3N) since its foundation. In 2010 he was elected Member of UAveiro Physics Department Council. Between 2013 and 2016 he was a member of the Scientific Council of Aveiro University. In 2019 his list was elected to the Scientific Council. He was a member of the pedagogic council of ISLA—Instituto Superior de Leiria between 2010 and 2013. He was the coordinator of two Master’s degree projects and in 2022 created and coordinated the course “Introduction to Nanomedicine”, inserted in UAveiro’s curricula as a “micro-credential” (3 ECTS).
