Dr. Simona Coco is a PhD researcher at the IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino, Genova, Italy. She has a deep background in molecular biology and during her carrier she dedicated herself to several preclinical studies aimed at improving the knowledge of the molecular landscape of both pediatric and adult cancers. Since 2011, her research interests have moved towards adult malignancies such as lung tumors and mesothelioma. Recently, she also focused her attention on liquid biopsy means circulating free DNA and extracellular vesicles as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in lung cancers.
