Dr. Danial Jahed Jahed Armaghani received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in 2015. He was a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia, for around 2 years. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran. He is currently a Research Fellow at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. His areas of research include tunnelling, rock mechanics, blasting environmental issues, pile and foundation, concrete technology, applying AI and optimization algorithms in geotechnics and geomechanics, etc. Dr. Danial was recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2020-2023 according to Stanford University Announcements.
