Samuel Álvarez-Almazán, MSc., PhD. He obtained the titles of Chemical Pharmacist (2012, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM)), Master of Science in Pharmacology (2016), and Philosophy Degree in Medicine Research (2020) from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). He currently works as Professor-Researcher at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Cuautitlán, UNAM. He belongs to the National System of Researchers from Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología. He focuses on the study of chronic degenerative diseases. His research field is on diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cancer, synthesis, and the evaluation of compounds in vivo, in vitro, and ex vivo. Additionally, he is searching for biological applications for chitosan nanoparticles.
