The pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus has resulted in inevitable radical changes across almost all areas of daily life, with the pandemic having revealed perhaps the greatest crisis humanity has faced in modern history. This study aims to provide thematic and methodological recommendations for future sustainable research programs through a bibliometric analysis of publications focused on management, leadership, and administration related to COVID-19. The data for the study were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) bibliographic database and then analyzed according to thematic content analysis and bibliometric methodology. The study’s units of analysis include countries, journals, keywords, research models, sample/study group, and time to publication. VOSviewer software and visualization maps were used to report the findings obtained from the analyzed data. When the study’s results are evaluated regarding the number of related publications and total citations, it can be revealed that Anglo-American-, Chinese-, and European-centered dominance continues in COVID-19-related studies. The vast majority of publications on this subject area are concentrated in the field of health. In addition, the study’s findings revealed that the examined articles were generally published in journals considered as prestigious, have high impact factors, are published in the English language, and with articles published in a short time after a much-reduced editorial/review and publishing process. Unlike previous bibliometric reviews, this research comprehensively analyzed the management-, leadership-, and administration-oriented publications related to COVID-19 with a holistic approach, providing essential findings and recommendations for future sustainable thematic research opportunities.

This study aims to investigate the relationships between the COVID-19 phobia experienced by school administrators and their work–family conflict, family–work conflict, and life satisfaction. This descriptive research, designed according to the relational survey model, was conducted with the participation of 356 school administrators. The study data were collected through online questionnaires, and then t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis were employed for the statistical analyses. The results revealed that female school administrators experienced greater levels of COVID-19 phobia than their male peers and that COVID-19 phobia is felt more intensely in the psychological and social sub-dimensions. However, female school administrators’ life satisfaction levels were significantly higher than those of male school administrators. In the current study, it was determined that school administrators in the younger age group experienced greater levels of COVID-19 phobia and family–work/work–family conflict than their peers from other age groups. The results of this study revealed a positive and moderate relationship between school administrators’ COVID-19 phobia and their levels of both work–family and family–work conflict. The findings of the study offer significant implications for policy makers in education, showing the importance of developing strategies that will reduce the effects of the pandemic for a more sustainable and efficient employee performance.

We explored the psychological effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on medical doctors working in hospitals assigned to treat COVID-19 patients. An exploratory, descriptive, qualitative research design was applied with a group of 204 medical doctors working within 40 different hospitals across 15 provinces of Turkey. Results reveal that medical doctors experienced various psychological problems, such as personal stress, anxiety, fear, panic attacks, depressive tendencies, and sleep disturbances, during the pandemic period. To cope with the pandemic, the medical doctors exhibited behaviors such as religious prayer, using antidepressants, undertaking different hobbies, paying attention to social distancing and hygiene rules and guidelines, and having a balanced and healthy diet. Our findings demonstrate that COVID-19 increased medical doctors' psychological pressure and associated physical symptoms.

The purpose of this study is to adapt the Personal Report of Public Speaking Anxiety (PRPSA) scale into Turkish and study its validity and reliability. The original form of the scale has a single-factor structure and consists of 34 items. The study sample was composed of a total of 322 candidate teachers studying in the School of Education. Three items with fit values below 0.30 from the corrected item-total correlation were excluded from the scale and the analyses were conducted on the remaining 31 items. The construct validity of the scale was confirmed as a single factor through the Mplus software. Cronbach’s alpha for the scale was 0.94, indicating that the scale also has a high level of reliability in the Turkish form. No significant differences were detected between male and female participants’ speaking anxiety scores.

The present study was conducted to investigate the relationship between medical students’ time management skills and their academic achievement. Within the scope of the research, when medical students’ time management behaviors were evaluated by gender, female students were found to get a higher score than male students. In the view of students’ time management skills by place of residence variable; it was revealed that the scores of the students living in state residence halls were higher than those of others. Finally, a positive correlation was detected between medical students’ time management scores and performance ratings implying that there is a significant relationship between students’ time management skills and their academic achievement. Based on the results of the research conducted on medical students, the students can be said to score moderately on time management. In addition, female students were demonstrated to be more successful than male students on time management.

The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the relationship between the job satisfaction and burnout levels of general practitioners. The study was designed with the screening model and was conducted on seventy-one general practitioners. To evaluate general practitioners’ job satisfaction levels, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Survey was used; and to evaluate their burnout levels Maslach Burnout Inventory was used. According to the study results, the intrinsic satisfaction and burnout levels of female physicians are higher than male physicians. In addition, with regards to marital status, it was confirmed that the intrinsic satisfaction scores of married physicians are higher than single physicians. Finally, although the Pearson Correlation Analysis indicated a significant relationship between the general satisfaction and personal accomplishment levels of general practitioners; there were no signs of a significant relationship between the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization dimensions of general practitioners.

The aim of the present study is to determine the opinions of doctors regarding hospital implementations related to nepotism, cronyism and political favoritism and to identify the effects of such implementations on doctors. Qualitative research method was used in the study, and data was collected by applying the interview technique. According to the study results, most of the participants relate favoritism with “unethical behaviors”. According to specialists’ opinions, “unfairness in appointing managers” is one of the main favoritism implementations in hospitals. This proved that political favoritism is evident while appointing managers in public hospitals. The doctors that participated in the study stressed that favoritism in hospitals will “damage the sense of fairness of workers”. Participants stated that to prevent favoritism exercises in hospitals, instead of political and ideological criteria, objective criteria, specialty and merit should be taken into consideration while appointing managers.

This study has been carried out in order to determine to what extent principals demonstrate ethical leadership behaviors, and to present suggestions on the strength of these findings. The study has a descriptive quality in evaluating the teachers’ perceptions and uses the Ethical Leadership Scale (ELS) developed by Yilmaz (2006), so as to determine the opinions of the participant teachers. The analysis of the data has been performed via the “SPSS for Windows ” package program. In addition, such statistical processes as a significance test, standard deviation, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA), Kruskal-Wallis H Test, Mann-Whitney U Test have also been carried out. The findings reveal that principalsadequately perform their ethical responsibilities like treating their staff justly and encouraging them, being fair, understanding, patient and humble, traits which all exist in the “communicative ethics, climatic ethics and ethics in decision making ” levels at the state high schools in the city of Kütahya, Turkey. On the other hand, the participant teachers in the study have clearly admitted that the principals engaged in such ethical behaviors in the “behavioral ethics ” level as self-evaluation, not lying and protecting individual rightspoorly.
