Dr Muhammad Asim received his BSc (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore in Pakistan in 2009. After gaining some useful industrial experience in PepsiCo, a multinational FMCG firm, he got the full European scholarship from EIT KIC InnoEnergy to pursue his dual MSc degree. He completed his MSc from UPC Barcelona Spain and KTH Stockholm Sweden in 2012 and 2013 respectively in the areas of Renewable Energy and Energy Innovation. He has more than 10 years of diversified teaching and industrial experience. With a strong motive to deliver his research and to pursue his career as a researcher, Dr Asim joined the University of Management and Technology in Pakistan in 2014 as a lecturer and was later promoted to Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering. He taught and mentored undergraduate engineering students in Pakistan; he also performed teaching duties during his PhD studies in the City University of Hong Kong from 2016 to 2019. Dr Asim worked extensively in the fields of Renewable Energy and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). His current research focuses on integrated waste heat recovery systems, thermofluids, solar thermal desalination, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, and heat pumps designing
