Prof. Pascal Venet was born in France, in 1965. He received
his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1993 from Lyon 1 University,
France. After postdoctoral positions, he joined Lyon 1 University as an
Assistant Professor from 1995 to 2009. Since 2009, he has been a Professor of
Electrical Engineering at the Lyon 1 University. He has developed his research
activity in an Electrical Engineering Laboratory (AMPERE). He is responsible
for the laboratory team "Secure Systems and Energy". His current
research interests include characterization, modeling, fault diagnostics,
reliability, and the aging of energy storage systems such as batteries,
supercapacitors, and capacitors.
