Daniela Cristina MOMETE received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D.
degrees in chemical engineering from University Politehnica of Bucharest (current
name: National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest) in
1996, 1997, and 2004, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in international
business and economics from the Academy of Economics Bucharest in 2005. She
successfully concluded a post-doctoral European research program at the
Romanian Academy's National Institute for Economic Research in 2013. She
conducted several education/research fellowships in the U.K., France, and
Italy. Since 2019, she has been a Ph.D. coordinator in the field of engineering
management. From 1997 to 2017, she was a faculty member with the Department of
Economic Engineering, where she served as a teaching assistant, lecturer, and
associate professor. Since 2017, she has been a full professor in the
Department of Economic Engineering, Faculty of Entrepreneurship Business
Engineering and Management. She has authored more than 10 books and over 80
articles. Her research interests include energy economics, sustainable
development, engineering education, entrepreneurship, and European economics.
She chaired many international conferences and served as a reviewer for papers
submitted to well-known international conferences and journals including MDPI
journals. She is a member of many professional organizations, including the
IEEE and World Energy Council-R and she is associate editor for IEEE Access.
