DA CHUAN CHENG received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Chinese Culture University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1990 and the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 1992 and 2003, respectively.
From 1998 to 2003, he was a Research Assistant at the Department of Computer Science of the Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg, Germany and from 2004 to 2006, he was a post doctor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Westfaelische Wilhelms University, Muenster, Germany. From 2012 he is an associate professor at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Radiological Science of the China Medical University, Taiwan. He has published more than 50 SCI-indexed journal papers. His research interests include medical image processing, computer vision, and deep learning.
