Graduated in Biomedicine from the University of Santo Amaro (2006). Holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Systems Biology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Sao Paulo (2009 and 2013, respectively). A sandwich Ph.D. was conducted at the Medical University of Vienna (Austria). Post-doctorate at the University of Sao Paulo (2014-2015). Currently, works as an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Biological and Health Sciences at the Federal University of Alagoas. Member of the Brazilian Society of Cell Biology (SBBC) and from the Ibero-American Network of Vascular Alterations and Pregnancy Disorders (RIVATREM). Brazilian representative of the Latin American Society of Maternal-Fetal Interactions and Placenta (SLIMP). Member of the Plastics Working Group of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC). Has experience, coordinates, and collaborates on projects in the field of Cell Biology and is currently studying: the effects of microplastics' presence on the human placenta, Zika virus infection in the placenta, and; improvement of the immune response in breast cancer patients resistant to immunotherapy.
