Hossein Fotouhi received his B.S. degree in electrical electronics engineering from the University of Guilan, Rasht, Iran, in 2004, and his M.Sc. degree in communication network engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Seri Kembangan, Malaysia, in 2009.
He carried out his Ph.D. research at the CISTER Research Unit in Real-Time and Embedded Computing Systems, Porto, Portugal, from July 2009 to April 2015. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Innovation, Design, and Engineering, Mälardalen University, Västerås, Sweden. He has publications in several top venues, including the EWSN Conference, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transaction on Mobile Computing(TMC), IEEE Sensors, Ad Hoc Networks (Elsevier), Computer Communications (COMCOM) (Elsevier), IEEE Access, Sensors (MDPI), and Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks (JSAN) (MDPI). His research interests include the Internet of Things, sensor networks, wireless communication, and fog/edge computing.
