Frank Weber is a clinical neurologist and, as a military physician, is a certified flight surgeon. After many years in hospital-based neurology, he is currently head of the department of research of the German Air Force Center of Aerospace Medicine. He has been trained in clinical neurology at the University of Ulm and at the Technical University in Munich, where he met Frank Lehmann-Horn. He has a special interest in neuromuscular disorders and in clinical neurophysiology. His scientific interests lie in disorders of nerve and muscle and in channelopathies of the peripheral nervous system and of the muscle system, particularly in sodium channels. He is a member of several scientific societies, e.g., the German Neurological Society and the European and the American Academy of Neurology.
