Associate Prof., Faculty of Medical Statistic and Epidemiology, School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Zhang received her MD degree from Zhengzhou University in 2004 and her MS and PhD degrees from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 2007 and 2010, respectively. In 2011–2013, she received her postdoctoral training at Department of Microbiology in Zhongshan Medical School, Sun Yat-sen University. Upon finishing postdoctoral training, she joined School of Public Health, SunYat-sen University as a lecturer in June 2013 and was employed as an associate Prof. in January 2017. During 2017–2018, she worked as a visiting scholar at Duke University. Dr. Zhang has received some awards, including a Pearl River Science and Technique New Star of Guangzhou City and two programs, including a National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for Young Scholar and a China Postdoctoral Foundation. She joined two National Science and Technique Major Projects for infectious disease. As an editor/associate editor, she has two books, gained three invention patents in China, and published 73 journal papers. Dr. Zhang also was the board member of International Society for Infectious Disease, International Journal of Biometeorology, Int J Environ Res Public Health, Science of the Total Environment.
