Dr. Hazem Ghassan Abdo received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in physical geography from Tishreen University, Lattakia, Syria, in 2013 and 2017, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in earth system modeling (applied geomorphology) from Damascus University, Syria, in 2020. He is currently a Lecturer in the field of physical geography at the Geography Department, College of Arts and Humanities, Tartous University. His main research interest includes the use of remote sensing and geographic information systems for
applications in the terrestrial environment to understand earth system processes, in the context of environmental and geomorphological dynamics.
