Graduated in Geography and Master's in Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG; PhD in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo - USP. She held two post-doctorates in Meteorology at USP, one with the University of Vigo (Spain). She was a junior associate at the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics in Italy between 2013 and 2016, and since 2018, she has been a regular associate. She is a professor at the Institute of Natural Resources (IRN) of the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI), advisor of the graduate program in Environment and Water Resources at UNIFEI, coordinator of the Research and Extension group in Socio-environmental Policies (GPEPSA-UNIFEI- CNPQ), and researcher at IRN, the Climate Studies Group (GrEC) of the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences at USP and the Support Center for Research on Climate Change (INCLINE) at USP. She works in different lines of research and extensions with national and international groups (for e.g., Spain, Italy, Sweden, and Pakistan). She has experience in coordinating projects financed by the main development agencies in the country, as well as in research and technological extension projects financed by the electricity sector.
