Ryuichi Shimoyama received B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electrical
Engineering from Toyama University and Ph.D degree in System
Science from Okayama University, in 1979, 1981, 1994, respectively.
He was an invited researcher at the Center for Intelligence System of
Vanderbilt University, USA and Polo Sant’Anna Valdera of Pisa
University, Italy, from 2005 to 2006. He is a professor of Nihon
University in Japan. His current research interest includes artificial
intelligence on auditory systems and robotics. He is a member of
IEEE, IEICE, SICE.
