Prof. Sang Woo Joo received his B.S. from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University in 1982, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University in 1984, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1989. He is a professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering of Yeungnam University. He is a full member of the Engineering Department of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology. His present work mainly focuses on microfluidics, nanobiotechnology, interfacial instabilities, phase changes, and sensing materials.
