Dr. Liang Wang is a tenured Associate Professor and Director of Epidemiology at Baylor University. He assumes responsibility for developing/teaching undergraduate and graduate epidemiology courses; recruiting and mentoring a diverse student body; working collaboratively with public health faculty and Baylor leadership; and building local and global public health partnerships. He was trained with an MD in Clinical Medicine and a DrPH and MPH, both in Epidemiology. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology and a Fellow of The Obesity Society. He was a Visiting Scientist/Scholar at Harvard and UNC Chapel Hill in their Schools of Public Health. His research focuses on obesity, nutrition epidemiology, health education, and promotion.
