Professor Tu holds a PhD in Industrial Education from the University of Tennessee in the US. His specialties are industrial product design, green (environmental) design, lifestyle design, cultural creative design, and design education development. His main area of research focuses on methods of industrial product design and development, such as theoretical techniques and methodological procedures of green (sustainable) product design and consumer lifestyle and needs. As a result of his studies, he hopes to provide a guideline and application for R&D, planning, and marketing of products in industries.
