Zoya Gridneva, PhD is a Research Fellow within the Geddes Hartmann Human Lactation Research Group, UWA. Zoya has a biochemical background with emphasis in proteomics and has worked in the biomedical field and in different research settings in ophthalmology, where she was involved in development and production of the allo- and xenotransplants, as well as artificial cornea and orbital implants. Zoya has joined the group as a PhD student, continued as a Research Associate after the graduation and quickly progressed to the Research Fellow (Research Assistant Professor) position. She focuses on human milk production and removal, and composition and its relationship to infant’s health, growth, and development. Her research has been widely recognized, with awards and articles highlighting the findings on effects of daily intakes (dose) of human milk components on infant body composition.
