Rosa Maria Cavalli received her M.Sc. degree in Geological Science from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. She started her scientific research activity at the CNR in 1993; she was employed as a CTER in 1998 and as a researcher in 2001. She is a research scientist at the Italian National Research Council (CNR), where she carries out her research activity at the Institute for Geo-Hydrological Hazards Assessment (IRPI) in Perugia. Her research keywords mainly focus on remote sensing of atmosphere, vegetation, sea and coastal waters, spectroscopy (urban and natural cover), data calibration and validation, detection of targets and archaeological buried structures, imaging spectrometry, and land use/land cover change mapping.
