Yuji Sakuno has been an Associate Professor at Hiroshima University since 2014, and received his doctorate in Engineering from Tokyo University, Japan. He served as an Assistant Professor at Hiroshima University from 2000 to 2013. His main research interest is monitoring water quality and seagrass using satellite data. He is a member of the Remote Sensing Society of Japan (RSSJ) and won its Paper Encouragement Award in 2000.
