Joyce Ann Konigsburg is a faculty member in the Department of Religious Studies at DePaul University in Chicago. She holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from Duquesne University and lectures worldwide on topics related to ethical issues in emerging AI technologies and business as well as inter-religious dialogue and comparative theology. Some of her recent work includes the presentations: “AI Nudging: An Ethical Tug–of–War over Climate Change” (2023), “Artificial General Intelligence: Victim, Source, or Solution to Unjust Marginalization” (2023), and a referred journal article entitled “Modern Warfare, Spiritual Health, and the Role of Artificial Intelligence” (2023). Additionally, Joyce spoke about Inter-religious Responses to Climate Change in conjunction with the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in 2021. Her current research involves the ethics of bias in artificial intelligence and its various religious, political, and social implications.
