I completed my MSc (Biomedical and Environmental Physics) in 2006 and my PhD in Complex Systems in Medicine and Life Sciences in 2010, both at the Università degli Studi di Torino (UNITO), Italy. My research activity started in the medical imaging field until 2015, when I moved to the development of innovative instrumentation for the application into radiation therapy, particularly in charged particle therapy. Recently, I started studying the possibility of using silicon sensors as beam monitors for FLASH irradiation and I am now coordinating a work package of the INFN FRIDA project. I am member of the Italian Association of Medical Physics (AIFM), I am author of more than 40 peer reviewed publications.
