Aniss Medbouhi is a PhD student in Computer Science specialized in Machine Learning at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He is working on geometric and topological methods for representation learning. He is currently involved in projects related to hyperbolic geometry and machine learning for data with a hierarchical structure.
He is also very interested in EEG-based Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) and medical applications in general. Prior to start the PhD he worked as a research engineer in machine learning and BCI. Previously, he was a double degree student at KTH and Ecole Centrale Marseille, he followed respectively the master programs in machine learning and in general engineering with a major in biomedical engineering. Before that, he did his undergraduate studies in scientific "Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles" at the Lycée du Parc in Lyon in the Mathematics and Physics track. He also got a Bachelor in Mathematics from Aix-Marseille University.
