Wing-Keung Wong obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin, USA, with a major in business statistics (statistics and finance) and obtained his bachelor's degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, he is a chair professor in the department of finance at Asia University. He was a full professor in the department of economics at Hong Kong Baptist University and deputy director at the Risk Management Institute at the National University of Singapore.
He appears in “Who's Who in the World”. He is on the list of top Taiwan economists, Asian economists, and top economists by RePEc. He has published more than 400 papers.
