Elena Bartkiene (Doctor of Physical Sciences, Chemistry) is a professor at the Department of Food Safety and Quality and Chief Researcher and Head of the Institute of Animal Rearing Technologies at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, the author and co-author of more than 100 ISI WOS publications, and author of two patents registered in the European Patent Office. Her research areas are Food Technology, Biotechnology, Safety and Quality control, Molecular Microbiology, Sustainable (bio)Technology, and Animal Sciences. She has experience in the development of technologies of a new prototype of food products for the nutrition of high-risk groups, in the evaluation of the quality of food raw materials and products using chemical, physical, organoleptic, and other quality indicators, and in the development of new applied, computer-based methods for the digital analysis of food choice.
