Sunil Pathak was awarded his PhD (2016) in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (MP) India. He is currently a Senior Researcher at HiLASE Centre, Institute of Physics, Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic. He is specialized in gear engineering and advanced/hybrid manufacturing processes. He has been working in the field of gear engineering for the last 10 years and advanced manufacturing for over 8 years. He has conducted extensive research on the advanced finishing of gears. He possesses specialized skills in gear finishing, gear metrology (micro, and macro-geometry) and measurement of gear accuracy. Presently he has been working on laser shock peening of intricately shaped geometries, nanomaterials synthesis by electrical discharge machining (EDM) and improving the cylindrical gear tooth profile by electrochemical machining (ECM). He is honoured to be a board member for 5 International Journals. Dr Sunil has authored more than 25 Research article, 1 monograph, 2 edited books and more than 15 manuscripts published as book chapters and in various international conferences.
