Dr Stephen Bewsher is an experienced engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry, specializing in tribodynamics and powertrain systems. He holds a PhD in Tribodynamics of Powertrain and Propulsion Systems from Loughborough University, combining academic expertise with extensive industry experience. Currently, Dr Bewsher serves as a Development Owner at AVL, where he leads and coordinates a software development team focused on AVL EXCITE in the field of tribology. His responsibilities include overseeing the development of advanced solutions for lubricated bearing, liner, and cam contacts, piston ring dynamics, oil consumption, micro-contact analysis, and wear workflows.
