Prof. Małgorzata Przybyła-Kasperek works as a professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice in the Faculty of Science and Technology. She received a habilitation in computer science from the Institute of Computer Science Polish Academy of Sciences in 2018 and a PhD in Computer Science from the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Silesia in 2011. The focuses of her research are data mining, decision support systems, and expert systems. Her studies are especially related to making decisions based on dispersed knowledge and methods of conflict analysis. She is the author of articles in high-ranking journals such as Information Sciences, Applied Soft Computing, the European Journal of Operational Research, Information Systems, and many others. She is a member of program committees and a co-organizer of sessions for many international conferences, such as KES, IJCRS, FedCSIS, ICCCI, INISTA, ACIIDS, and others.
