Xiaohua Tong received his Ph.D. degree from Tongji University, China, in 1999. Between 2001 and 2003, he was a postdoctoral researcher with the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping, and Remote Sensing, at Wuhan University, China. He was a research fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2006 and a visiting scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, between 2008 and 2009. His current research interests include remote sensing, geographic information systems, uncertainty, spatial data quality, and image processing for high-resolution and hyper-spectral images.
