Jeroen Famaey received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Ghent University, Belgium, in 2007 and 2012 respectively. Since 2016, he is a research professor associated with imec and the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He has co-authored over 150 articles published in international peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings, as well as 10 patent applications (5 of which have been granted). His research contributions have resulted in several awards, among which 5 best paper awards. Prof. Famaey has participated in over 20 international and national research projects, both fundamental and industry-driven. His current research interests include network performance modeling and optimization, low-power wireless networks with energy harvesting, and mmWave- and THz-band networking.
