Dr. Maria Touraki is an Associate Professor in the School of Biology, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. Her research interests focus on Biochemistry, Pathobiology-Toxicity, Analytical Biochemistry: structure, function and excretion of pathogenic compounds, biomolecules, therapeutics and compounds of biological interest. She is involved in the development, calibration and validation of methods for their quantitative determination in biological samples using HPLC, to study their action mechanism and biotransformation. She is also investigates probiotic bacteria in pathobiology and their symbiotic relationships. She has co-authored 30 original research articles in peer-reviewed journals (h-index 11, Scopus Author ID 6603182037, 384 citations. She serves as a guest editor in the special issue "Women in Separations", in Separations, MDPI. She has peer reviewed more than 80 manuscripts for 25 scientific journals.
