Dr. Mahmoud Ghofrani received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical
Engineering from Amir-Kabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2005; his
M.Sc. degree from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2008; and his
Ph.D. degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2013. Since September
2013, he has been with the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics, the University of Washington, Bothell, where he is currently an
Assistant Professor. His research interests include power systems operation and
planning, renewable energy systems, smart grids, electric vehicles, and the
electricity market.
