Kotohiro Nomura has been a Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, Tokyo Metropolitan University since April 2010. He completed his M.S. studies at the University of Tokyo and joined Sumitomo Chemicals Co., Ltd. He received his Ph.D. from Osaka University (thesis submission). He served as an Associate Professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (1998-2009). He received the Catalysis Society of Japan Award (Academic field) from the Catalysis Society of Japan, in March 2019. He is also the Section Editor in Chief of Catalysts and a member of the Editorial Board of Molecular Catalysis, and Catalysts.
