Customer churn will cause the value flowing from customers to enterprises to decrease. If customer churn continues to occur, the enterprise will gradually lose its competitive advantage. When the growth of new customers cannot meet the needs of enterprise development, the enterprise will fall into a survival dilemma. Focusing on the customer churn prediction model, this paper takes the telecom industry in China as the research object, establishes a customer churn prediction model by using a logistic regression algorithm based on the big data of high-value customer operation in the telecom industry, effectively identifies the potential churned customers, and then puts forward targeted win-back strategies according to the empirical research results. This paper analyzes the trends and causes of customer churn through data mining algorithms and gives the answers to such questions as how the customer churn occurs, the influencing factors of customer churn, and how enterprises win back churned customers. The results of this paper can better serve the practice of customer relationship management in the telecom industry and provide a reference for the telecom industry to identify high-risk churned customers in advance, enhance customer loyalty and viscosity, maintain “high-value” customers, and continue to provide customers with “value” and reduce the cost of maintaining customers.

For customer collaborative product innovation (CCPI), lead users are powerful enablers of product innovation. Identifying lead users is vital to successfully carrying out CCPI. In this paper, in order to overcome the shortcomings of traditional evaluation methods, a novel intelligent method is proposed to identify lead users efficiently based on the cost-sensitive learning and support vector machine theory. To this end, the characteristics of lead users in CCPI are first analyzed and concluded in-depth. On its basis, considering the sample misidentification cost and identification accuracy rate, an improved cost-sensitive learning support vector machine (ICS-SVM) method for lead user identification in CCPI is further proposed. A real case is provided to illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of the ICS-SVM method on lead user identification in CCPI. The case results show that the ICS-SVM method can effectively identify lead users in CCPI. This work contributes to user innovation literature by proposing a new way of identifying highly valuable lead users and offers a decision support for the efficient user management in CCPI.

Enterprise environmental protection investment has recently become increasingly essential to address environmental problems. Based on the data from China's A-share heavy pollution industry listed companies from 2007 to 2018, this paper empirically examines the impact of the degree of resource slack on enterprise environmental protection investment and the moderating effect of environmental management maturity on both. The results show that the degree of resource slack has a significant negative impact on the scale of enterprise environmental protection investment. As the maturity of environmental management increase, the negative impact of the degree of resource slack on the scale of enterprise protection environmental investment is significantly weakened. This paper further finds that there are significant differences in the moderating effect of environmental management maturity in enterprises of different life cycles on the relationship between the degree of resource slack and the scale of enterprise environmental protection investment. Compared with the enterprises in the recession period, the environmental management maturity in the growth and mature period can more alleviate the negative relationship between the degree of resource slack and the scale of enterprise environmental protection investment. The results are conducive to clarifying the important impact of implementing voluntary environmental management and strengthening internal control capabilities on enterprises' active environmental investment. It provides ideas for enterprises to dynamically adjust their environmental management methods, promote the improvement of internal governance and sustainable development. At the same time, it also provides a theoretical basis for the government to issue differentiated environmental regulations and improve the efficiency of government environmental governance.

Does green image impact enterprise environmental protection investment? How does the green image affect enterprise environmental protection investment? In order to solve the above problems, this paper uses an empirical analysis to explore the relationship among regional economic development level, green image, and enterprise environmental protection investment based on the empirical data of A-share manufacturing listed companies from 2007 to 2015 in China. The research results show that good green image has a positive role to promote enterprise environmental protection investment, and regional economic development level partially mediates green image and enterprise environmental protection investment. The article confirms that a good green image can send positive signals to stakeholders and increase their loyalty and satisfaction with the enterprise’s products or services. The level of regional economic development provides opportunities for the green development of enterprises. With the improvement in the level of regional economic development, stakeholders’ awareness of environmental protection has increased, and they have become more sensitive to enterprise environmental protection investment behaviors. The research results also show that the environmental awareness of corporate stakeholders plays an important role in actively fulfilling, and it provides new ideas for companies to conduct production and management in a green-oriented model.

According to the characteristics of blood inventory control problem under the condition of blood shortage, the dynamic decision-making problem of blood supply chain is investigated in this paper. Firstly, based on the recursive equation, the state transition equations of two categories of blood demand under two inventory issue strategies (FIFO and LIFO) are given. The mathematical expressions of key indexes such as blood outdating and blood shortage are obtained. A blood collection decision-making method based on EWA (Estimated Withdrawal & Aging) strategy is proposed. Then, an optimal model of blood transshipment problem is established with the goal of the shortest transshipment time and the maximum freshness of the transported blood. In addition, an allocation planning model with multiple priority requirements and fairness concerns is established to achieve the best fairness and the minimum shortage. Besides, a discrete event system simulation (DESS) framework is designed according to the characteristics of the model. Finally, the effectiveness of the decision-making method and EWA inventory strategy are verified by numerical simulation. The results show that safety stock, target stock level and fluctuation range of demand have significant impacts on the control effect of blood inventory.

This paper considers a green closed-supply chain consisting of a manufacturer and a retailer. A Stackelberg game model of centralized decision-making and decentralized decision-making with manufacturer’s fairness concern was constructed based on the consideration of retailer’s sales effort. The decision-making of supply chain members under the above two situations and their reasons are analyzed in depth. According to the model, a green closed-loop supply chain with profit sharing contract coordination fairness is designed. Finally, the correctness of the model is verified by numerical simulation. We generate our findings from three aspects, as follows: when the manufacturer has fair concern behavior, it is not conducive to the environmental performance of green products, resulting in waste of resources, but also forcing retailers to reduce sales efforts and increase the retail price of products. Finally, the benefits of green closed-loop supply chain are seriously damaged. The profit-sharing contract could improve the relationship between members of the supply chain to achieve sustainable economic and environmental development.

Residents’ behavior is the result of the combined effect of external environment factors and internal psychological factors. Based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and the attitude–behavior–condition (ABC) theory, this study aims to explore the impact of policy support on residents’ psychological factors and proenvironmental behavior. This study developed an extended TPB and ABC model and replaced the behavioral intention in the TPB model with implementation intentions to enhance the ability of the variables to explain and predict proenvironmental behavior. The longitudinal research method was adopted to collect data through a two-stage questionnaire survey of 1145 Shanghai residents. Results demonstrated that perceived policy effectiveness has a significant and positive impact on attitude, implementation intention, and proenvironmental behavior. This means that proenvironmental behavior tends to appear in people with a high perception of policy effectiveness, positive attitude, and strong implementation intention. Moreover, this study points out for the first time that high waste management knowledge weakens the relationship between perceived policy effectiveness and attitude. For residents with high waste management knowledge, the effect of simple policy publicity is limited. The findings suggest that the government should increase the breadth and depth of policy support and policy publicity to cover the entire waste management process.

Crowdsourcing design for complex products has open objectives and requires collaboration among different fields. It is difficult to use a single approach to describe the process in which the number and interaction of tasks and steps of tasks are changed dynamically depending on the execution state. Motivated by modeling the collaborative business process of crowdsourcing design in complex products, a crowdsourcing hierarchical process modeling approach based on an object-oriented Petri net is proposed. From the perspective of organization and task, the crowdsourcing object interaction and design process are modeled separately. First, an organization layer modeling approach based on expert review is proposed to describe the information transfer relationship among crowdsourcing objects from the organization perspective. Then, the task layer modeling approach based on the component decomposition idea is proposed. From the perspective of the task, the task is decomposed by using a design structure matrix (DSM) and a product structure tree to model the interaction of the design process. The object-oriented Petri net-is used to realize the representation of the model. Finally, the method is verified by taking the model of the crowdsourcing design of an air cooler as an example. The model subnet is analyzed by means of an overlay tree and incidence matrix, and the reliability and robustness of the model are proven. This method provides a reference for the process modeling of the crowdsourcing design of complex products.

With the development of specialization, coordination and intelligence in the manufacturing service process, the issue of how to quickly extract potential resources or capabilities for distributed manufacturing service requirements, and how to carry out resource matching for manufacturing service requirements with correlated mapping characteristics, have become the critical issues to be addressed in the cloud manufacturing environment. Through the combination of the characteristics of relevance, synergy and diversity of manufacturing service tasks on the intelligent cloud platform, a matching decision method for manufacturing service resources is proposed in this paper based on multidimensional information fusion. On the basis of integrating multidimensional information data in cloud manufacturing resource, the information entropy and rough set theory are applied to classify the importance of manufacturing service tasks, while the matching capability are analyzed by using a hybrid collaborative filtering (HCF) algorithm. Then, the information of function attribute, reliability and preference is employed to match and push manufacturing service resources or capabilities actively, so as to realize the matching decision of manufacturing service resources with precise quality, stable service and maximum efficiency. At last, a case study of resources matching decision for body & chassis manufacturing service in a new energy automobile enterprise is presented, in which the experimental results show that the proposed approach is more accuracy and effective compared with other different recommendation algorithms.

As the first stage of the formation of a collaborative new product innovation (CNPI) team, member selection is crucial for the effective operation of the CNPI team and the achievement of new product innovation goals. Considering comprehensively the individual and collaborative attributions, the individual knowledge competence, knowledge complementarity, and collaborative performance among candidates are chosen as the criteria to select CNPI team members in this paper. Moreover, using the fuzzy set and social network analysis method, the quantitative methods of the above criteria are proposed correspondingly. Then, by integrating the above criteria, a novel multiobjective decision model for member selection of the CNPI team is built from the view of individual and collaborative attributions. Since the proposed model is NP-hard, a double-population adaptive genetic algorithm is further developed to solve it. Finally, a real case is provided to illustrate the application and effectiveness of the proposed model and method in this paper.

For the product R&D process, it is a challenge to effectively and reasonably assign tasks and estimate their execution time. This paper develops a method system for efficient task assignment in product R&D. The method system consists of three components: similar tasks identification, tasks’ execution time calculation, and task assignment model. The similar tasks identification component entails the retrieval of a similar task model to identify similar tasks. From the knowledge-based view, the tasks’ execution time calculation component uses the BP neural network to predict tasks’ execution time according to the previous similar tasks and the Task–Knowledge–Person (TKP) network. When constructing the BP neural network, the satisfaction degree of knowledge and the execution time are set as the input and output, respectively. Considering the uncertain factors associated with the whole R&D process, the task assignment model component serves as a robust optimization model to assign tasks. Then, an improved genetic algorithm is developed to solve the task assignment model. Finally, the results of numerical experiment are reported to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

As an important measure of enterprise governance, internal control can enhance the organizational rationality of the enterprise, ensure that the enterprise consciously assumes social responsibility for the protection of the natural environment and resources, and promote the sustainable development of the national economy. Using data from China’s A-share heavy pollution industry listed companies from 2009 to 2018, this study explored the relationships among internal control quality, enterprise environmental protection investment, and financial performance. The results show that the quality of internal control has a significant positive impact on enterprise environmental protection investment and financial performance. Enterprise environmental protection investment has a significant positive impact on financial performance and plays a partial intermediary role in the positive impact of internal control quality on financial performance. While expanding the theory of resource-based concepts, this study clarified the positive impact of corporate environmental management and practical behavior on corporate value and provides a theoretical basis for companies to actively implement environmental protection responsibilities, strengthen internal environmental management capabilities, and enhance corporate value. At the same time, it also provides a basis for the government to issue relevant environmental protection policies, strengthen enterprise internal control construction guidelines, and encourage third-party organizations to evaluate the effectiveness of enterprise internal control.

Sewage treatment and reuse have always been hot issues in both the business and academic communities in all nations around the world. In order to solve the difficulties in accurate quantization and objective evaluation of industrial sewage treatment projects, this paper proposed a comprehensive industrial sewage treatment project evaluation method based on the improved entropy–TOPSIS method. First, this paper constructed an evaluation indicator system for sewage treatment projects from the four aspects of environmental performance, economic performance, managerial performance and social performance. Second, it made a modification to the experts’ experience-based grading using the entropy weight method and determined the weight of the indicators in a more objective and more accurate manner. Third, this work improved the traditional TOPSIS method and simplified the calculations with regard to the traditional TOPSIS-based comprehensive evaluation. Finally, by taking the example of evaluating industrial sewage treatment projects of the China Water Affairs Group in Q city (ChongQing), China, this paper verified the feasibility and practicability of the proposed comprehensive industrial sewage treatment project evaluation system and method.

The increasing homogeneous product market has made more competition among companies to focus on improving customers’ experience. In order to get more competitive advantages, companies often launch discount products to attract consumers. However, stimulated by discount products, the perception of anticipated regret is becoming stronger, which is an inevitable issue in front of companies with price discount strategy. Considering the impact of anticipated regret for discount products, this paper quantitatively describes the utility functions and deduces the demand functions of original price products and discount products. The theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are used to analyze centralized and decentralized models of supply chain for discount products. On its basis, the revenue-sharing contract is designed to optimize the profits of supply chain. This paper finds that the price of products increases first and then decreases with the increase of regret sensitivity coefficient and consumer heterogeneity. When the regret sensitivity coefficient and consumer heterogeneity are lower, companies in the supply chain can adopt the “skimming pricing” strategy in order to obtain more profits. When the regret sensitivity coefficient and consumer heterogeneity increase, companies in the supply chain can adopt “penetrating pricing” strategies to stimulate market demand. For high regret consumers, manufacturers can adopt a “commitment advertising” strategy to promise price and quality, and retailers can adopt a “prestige pricing” strategy to reduce consumer perception of regret. In response to products with higher differences in consumer acceptance, manufacturers can adopt a “differentiated customization” strategy to meet different types of consumer demand and retailers can adopt a “differential pricing” strategy for precise marketing.

Small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SME) often need to draw on the knowledge of their supply chain partners to remain innovative and competitive in the marketplace. In the context of global value chains (GVC), this study examines the factors enabling the learning of SMEs from their GVC dependence by applying the logic of power and the logic of embeddedness. Specifically, we identify the technical adaptation of SMEs in the GVC as a response to their interdependence on the GVC following the logic of power, and an action that heightens information exchange and interorganizational learning at the dyad level following the logic of embeddedness. Linking these logics, we hypothesize that the technical adaptation of an SME mediates the relationship between its GVC dependence and its learning outcome from the GVC, namely the knowledge transfer it receives. Furthermore, this mediating role is stronger when the SME has a longer history of transactional relationship with its GVC partners which amplifies the logic of power, and when it possesses a higher level of financial slack which strengthens the logic of embeddedness. Using multi-sourced survey data from 292 Thai manufacturing SMEs, we find substantial support for the hypothesized relationships. Our findings offer theoretical and practical implications in terms of enabling and supporting the learning pathway of SMEs participating in the GVC.

Multiproject scheduling aims at the generation of the baseline schedules, which has been studied for several years with the goal of minimizing the total cost of the project. In this paper, we analyzed the impact of network structure disruption, activity disruption, and resource disruption on scheduling scheme, respectively; this problem is related to the disruptions in scheduling process, which leads to a deviation between actual scheduling and baseline scheduling. The mode of the related activities is changed and the start time is reset. Because it is a NP-hard problem and involves a large number of activities, the dual population genetic algorithm is designed to solve this problem. From the results of case analysis, we find that single disruption on scheduling was local, when there was no resource conflict. While multifactor disruptions have greater effect on duration and total cost, multifactor disruptions would affect each other, so it was more complicated.

We consider the last mile delivery system with roaming delivery locations and stochastic travel times. The problem is formulated as a two-stage stochastic programming model with recourses, its objective is to minimize the total travel time of serving a set of customers with roaming delivery locations under stochastic travel times. We propose an effective metaheuristic integrating a sampling strategy (sample average approximation, SAA) to solve stochastic model, our metaheuristic consists of random selection-greedy insertion (RSGI) and hybrid iterated greedy algorithm with route reoptimization and simulated annealing (HIGRR-SA). The computational study shows that our solution method has an advantage in terms of solution quality and computational time. The comparison of the stochastic and deterministic solutions shows that a significant reduction in expected travel time can be achieved as well as a smaller fluctuation considering stochastic information.

Much of the research on big data analytics has been centered on technical or system development. Research has been carried out on the usage of big data analytics to understand customer relationships and experience, amongst others. Still, there is a lack of research in the retail industry considering big data management, examining the impact on customer satisfaction and organizational performance in the retail sector. Retailers explore analytics to gain a unified picture of their customers and operations across the store or online channels and make strategic decisions contributing to the growth of the retail industry. Thereof, this study has been conducted by majorly focusing on the Singapore retail industry to clarify the feasibility of big data management analytics. Quantitative research method was employed involving 500 participants from the retail industry of Singapore. The results of the study stated that amongst the different big data analytics utilized within the retail industry of Singapore, social media analytics had been majorly answered by the participants. Future researchers can study about the upcoming retail trends in Singapore and how the effects of big data analysis changed in the past few years and deal with the unexpected future recessions in the retail industry within Singapore.

Taking carbon emissions into account in decision-making on distribution network operations contributes to achieving the goal of promoting energy conservation and emissions reduction. The focus of this paper is to research multicapacity hierarchical location-routing robust optimization in distribution network design under carbon trading policies. First, this problem is described as a mixed integer nonlinear programming model. Then, based on strong duality theory, the nonlinear model is transformed into a linear robust equivalent model. Finally, GUROBI software is used for numerical calculation and analysis. The results suggest the following: carbon trading policies have a carbon abatement effect; with a decrease in the carbon emissions cap and an increase in carbon trading prices, carbon emissions undergo a ladder-like downward trend; uncertain fluctuations in freight units will influence the optimal decision-making patterns of enterprises; and making more vehicles available will reduce carbon emissions. The government should set a reasonable carbon emissions cap according to market conditions. Enterprises could adopt robust control parameters on the basis of their decision-making preferences and consider the impact of carbon trading policy in formulating and adjusting an optimal decision-making scheme.

Owing to the complexity of socio-economic environments and the fuzziness of human cognition, information of cognitive preference provided by decision-making organizations composed of many experts is often hesitant and fuzzy. In consequence, for the sake of addressing the hesitance and fuzziness of preference information for the configuration of tasks and resources in cloud manufacturing, a decision-making model of a two-sided matching considering a bidirectional projection under preference information of hesitant fuzzy is put forward. Primarily, this paper describes the problem of two-sided matching and introduces the hesitant fuzzy set. Afterwards, according to preference information given by matching agents using the hesitant fuzzy element, the evaluation matrix is constructed. Meanwhile, the bidirectional projection technology and TOPSIS method are combined to calculate the closeness degree matrix. Further, by introducing the constraint of the stable matching, a decision-making model of a two-sided matching for maximizing the closeness degree of two-sided matching agents is constructed, and the optimal configuration results are obtained by the solving of the model. Subsequently, the illustrative case is provided to validate the rationality and effectiveness of the presented model in solving the configuration for cloud manufacturing tasks and resources. Also, the stability in the proposed configuration results is illustrated by making a sensitivity analysis. Further, the reliability in the given solving process is demonstrated through performing a comparative analysis, as well as the advantages in the proposed model is also discussed. It shows that this developed model can give stable configuration results and also provide a matching approach for different agents under an uncertain environment.
