Dr. Hiroshi Ito is a full professor at Yamagata University (YU), Japan. He is now in charge as Dean of Graduate School of Organic Materials Science, YU. He also is vice-dean of Faculty of Engineering in YU. Moreover, he is also now director of the Research Center for GREEN Materials and Advanced Processing, YU. His major field of research is to clarify and control the development of higher-order structures in polymeric materials through experimental and theoretical studies on polymer processing. His research projects cover various types of polymer processing. His innovative research in this area indicates the successful development of advanced polymer processing technologies for polymer blends and polymer composites, micro-injection molding, hot-embossing, nano-imprint technology, film processing, and so on. His most research interest is material development and structural development for polymer alloys, polymer blends, and composites. Now, he is working at a professional society as International Representative of Polymer Processing Society (PPS), Auditors of Japan Society of Polymer Processing (JSPP), President of Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), Japan Section, and Director of NPO Research Association of Nano Structured Polymer. For his outstanding research achievements, he has received numerous honors and awards in his whole career. These efforts concerning the polymer processing were awarded over 15 times and published in over 177 outstanding papers.
