Hongyan Chu (1987-) received his Ph.D degree in Engineering from Southeast University in 2017. He is currently an associate professor and a graduate student supervisor in Nanjing Forestry University, and his research interests are as follows, high performance and ultra-high-performance cementitious composites, nanomaterials/fiber reinforced cementitious composites (graphene, graphene oxide, graphene sulfonate; carbon fiber, PP fiber, steel fiber), durability and service life prediction of cementitious composites subjected to the action of combined several deterioration factors (sulfate attack, chloride corrosion, high temperatures, complex applied loading), utilization of industrial residues in cementitious composites, and characterization of cementitious composites. He has authored/coauthored more than 30 technical papers, and also has been authorized more than 15 Chinese, American, Luxembourg, etc. patents in the field of cement and concrete composites. In recognizing his contributions to researches in materials science, engineering and technology, he was elected as a fellow of VEBLEO in 2021. In recognizing his contributions to composite materials, he has been awarded to Best Researcher Award by ScienceFather in 2022. In addition, He has been awarded by the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Awards of Ministry of Education for two times.
