Prof. Dr. Paraskevas D. Tzanavaras is an assistant professor of analytical chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki in 2003 and he has been a lecturer of analytical chemistry in the same department since 2007. His current research focuses on new methods for determining thiols and amines in various matrices, applications of new stationary phases (monolithic, core-shell, etc.) for liquid phase separations, automated sample preparation coupled with separation techniques (e.g., SI-HPLC), and automated flow-based optical sensors using gold nanoparticles.
