Graduated in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Brasília (1998), Master in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome - Italy (1991) and Ph.D. in Religious Sciences from the Methodist University of São Paulo (2003). He is currently the coordinator and professor of the Postgraduate Program in Gerontology (Masters and Doctorate). He has been teaching in the undergraduate course in Medicine since February 2010, in the Internship in Community Health discipline, as well as in the Philosophy in Virtual Environment course. He has professional experience as a higher education professor since 1991, in the areas of Quality of Life and Aging, Ethics, Bioethics, Science of Religion. He works as a permanent core professor in Research Line 1 (Physical, biological, epidemiological and technological aspects of aging) and Line 2 (Psychosocial and artistic aspects related to aging) of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Gerontology, conducting research research in the area of aging and religiosity, Public Policies for aging, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) by the elderly. He is currently doing postdoctoral research at the Department of Cardio-Vascular-Thorax and Public Health at the University of Padua (Italy).
